Blazing Laptops!

I’m participating in an all day Write-A-Thon this Saturday in San Diego.

No, I did not say Write-A-Thong! Though if it helps me get more pledges I just might wear one!

I’m going to be sitting at my laptop for 9 hours, writing. Well, actually about 8 hours and 30 minutes, because i’m also leading one of the activities.

I can’t wait to be surrounded by other writers, writing for a good cause–to help support the San Diego Writer’s Ink organization– a place that offers writing workshops, readings, book parties, open mic nights, book fairs, and so much more. When Ted and I moved to San Diego three years ago I searched high and low to find a writing community like the one we had in NYC. I’ve been thrilled to be a part of San Diego Writer’s Ink for the past year and half. I’ve taken classes there from two amazing instructors that helped me shape my book, and last month I taught my own class on writing short pieces.
