Karen Valentine

Yesterday we celebrated my sister Andrea’s 40th birthday (and also the finalization of the adoption of her baby, Olivia Claire).
Ted and I were in charge of decorations (naturally) and so we made it a sort of luau theme.
I can’t believe my sister is 40– which means i’m next– (my sister and I are 9 months apart).
Here’s a pic of my sis in 1974. I always thought (that when she was a kid) she looked a lot like the actress Karen Valentine (from TVs Room 222 and movies like Hot Lead and Cold Feet).

Wow, there is a resemblance there.
When I was growing up people thought I looked like Emma Samms from General Hospital. Then I was compared to a young Boy George when I was in middle school. Then in high school it was Jane Seymour.
Now I just look like me….no more celebrity look-alikes. Prolly because I don’t want to do the whole botox thing, so I look way more craggily than your average actress.
