Because Christmas is About Giving, Not Recieving

December 25, 2007

On Sunday we checked out a bunch of Antique and Thrift stores in Ocean Beach, San Diego with our friend, Aaron C from NYC. He found a ton of cool stuff, but he works for Martha Stewart so he has an eye for it.

I did find these two postcards, though.scary-doll.jpg

charles-doll0001.jpg Aren’t they brilliant? And scary?

I wanted soooo badly to keep them and do something creative with them but then I thought that there was really nothing else I could do to them– they are already pretty terrific on their own.

And then I gave them to Doug and Huber who threw a fabulous Christmas Eve dinner party. Doug and Huber are denim jean designers.

They loved the dolls.

In the town where I live, one woman (I assume she’s a woman, although I don’t really know for sure) decorates her front window with a bunch of dolls. Talk about creepy, yikes! I’ll take a picture and send it to you.
