It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Martha Stewart’s Christmas

December 24, 2007

In honor (tribute?) to our friend Aaron’s recent visit (he does props for Martha Stewart’s show in NYC) i’ve decided to show you my prep for Christmas.

It all started two weeks ago…

when I started putting up Christmas decorations. I almost always start with this macramae’d Christmas Tree that my mom made in the mid-1970s.

This is what you do with extra Christmas decorations:

Then I hung the cards with care. This is just Christmas cards stapled to Christmas ribbon (I got this idea from the folks at Michael’s Craft Store–when I asked them if they had anything to display Christmas cards).

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a place to hang my stocking. We have no fireplace.

Guess what we did with the star lights bought at Ikea?

Oh, and here’s a Christmas (morning) essential:

and this one’s good for when you’re cooking

Here’s Jack under the tree!

And here’s Hermia to wish you a Merry Christmas
