The Alligator People

December 1, 2007

Ted’s at a conference in Washington, DC, this weekend, so I took this time

to reflect on my life and my accomplishments…

alligatorpeople.jpgJust kidding! I watched a really bad/good movie called “The Alligator People” starring screen siren(!) Beverly Garland (remember, of “My Three Sons” and “Scarecrow and Mrs. King” fame?).

Oh, and Beverly Garland has a hotel: The Beverly Garland Holiday Inn in Universal Studios Hollywood. Which I have YET to go to (hint, hint, Ted).

“The Alligator People” was a shockingly campy horror/sci-fi thriller about strange experiments going on in the bayous of Lousiana! It seems a doctor has been experimenting, injecting alligator extract into people’s bloodstreams, notably Beverly Garland’s husband, which turns him all scaly.

alligator-man.jpgThen, when trying to cure him (with radiation!) he becomes a full-fledged alligator (though he’s still wearing pants and shoes…).

Oof, was it bad, but soo good!

Ah well.

It was fun, and I watched it after making a mini wheat pizza for myself for dinner. I made two, one for dinner and one for Sunday’s lunch. A chicken and asparagus pizza and a sausage and tomato pizza.

pizza-halves.jpg and for dinner, I put arugula tossed with balsamic on top.
